Our Process
Horn Restoration delivers a thorough, detail-driven experience from start to finish on every project. Continue below to learn more about our design-to-build process.
Home Visit & Bid
The introductory stage is focused on a few key objectives:
Understanding your family’s goals for the space and how it will be used, including layout considerations such as walls, rooms, egress, and any bathroom needs
Breaking down labor and materials by trade to develop a detailed and accurate project proposal
Defining project inclusions, such as flooring selections, number of outlets, and fixture allowances
This phase ensures we establish a clear vision, scope, and budget from the very beginning.
Design and Layout
Once clients decide to move forward with the proposal, the next phase begins with a few key steps.
You’ll meet with our architect to develop a detailed scope of work and project drawings. These plans serve as the foundation for the entire project, guiding decisions around selections, permitting, and execution.
In addition, you’ll be set up with a personalized digital project folder. This will be used throughout the process to keep everything organized—from financials and schedules to selections and vision boards—ensuring full transparency and clear communication every step of the way.
Selections
Most homeowners have a clear sense of how they want their space to feel—but far fewer know how to bring that vision to life. The selection process is where everything comes together, ensuring that each element—flooring, paint colors, cabinetry, and more—works cohesively within a well-thought-out design.
Whether you prefer hands-on guidance or just a little direction, we provide the resources and support you need to feel confident that your renovation or basement project will turn out exactly as you envisioned.
